[GOV Event] Social Security Saturdays (Yakima)

Description

Wafla heard from growers last year that H-2A workers faced delays in receiving Social Security Numbers due to the lack of appointment availability during the traditional workweek. Therefore, we contacted the Social Security Administration to see how to make the process more efficient and effective.

The result is Social Security Saturdays. The Social Security Administration has arranged to open three Eastern Washington offices during non-traditional business hours to process more Social Security cards for new H-2A workers.

This opportunity is open to all farms and farmworkers. You do not need to be a wafla member to participate.
