Today the Washington State House Labor & Workplace Standards Committee held a public hearing on SB 5217, a bill implementing costly ergonomics rules in workplaces. While wafla supports workplace safety, the provisions of this bill would accelerate job loss, increase costs, and create uniform workplace standards that may not be workable on every job site. We oppose this bill for the reasons listed in our testimony here.
